More leagues. More teams. More action. Season 4 takes UBL to the next level.

Season 4 of the Ultimate Badminton League (UBL) marks the biggest evolution in the league’s history. With the introduction of three competitive tiers — the Premiership, Championship, Conference, and now the all-new Women’s Premiership — UBL is bigger, bolder, and better than ever.
From emerging talent to seasoned captains, the 2025 season promises unmatched energy, intensity, and opportunity across the courts. This expansion reflects the surge of participation and talent across the UBL community, as the league continues to set the standard for grassroots and semi-pro badminton in the UK.
A League System Built for Progress
The new three-tier format creates clear development pathways and stronger competition across the board:
Premiership – the premier division features the most skilled and experienced players in the league.
Championship – bridges the gap between aspiring players and elite-level competition.
Conference – a proving ground for rising stars and new contenders looking to earn their way to the top flight.
Women’s Premiership – a historic first for UBL, showcasing the depth and strength of women’s badminton nationwide.
The introduction of the Women’s League has been driven by exceptional growth in participation and performance from female athletes within the UBL network. The decision reflects one simple truth — there is now so much talent, it deserves its own stage.
